The efficient management of the territory’s resources

Problem

An important Italian aqueduct aqueduct needed to organize the activities of its technicians, who were out on the field doing maintenance work on the distribution plants of the local territory in order to supply drinking water to the population. Furthermore it needed to gather all the data regarding the activities, that were carried out in order to memorize them with the goal of an in-depth analysis and malfunction prevention; it also required to protect the security of its workers keeping them constantly informed on the risks and on the precautions to adopt in the various plants.

Solution

SAN designed and engineered Lambda, a type of software that enables the company to structure the various procedures while assigning the activities to carry out for the intervention teams. Through the use of palmtops connected to the main software the workers on the field are able to know, to go, what to do and which precautions to take in each specific situation. At the same time, the technicians in the main offices canmonitor the activities that are being carried out, gather information and conduct analysis on the levels of performance.

Achieved results

There has been an increase in the company’s efficiency with a significant reduction of management costs. Process rationalization and up grade of the quality of the field operator’s work. Furthermore the company obtained real time data concerning the various interventions and more attention regarding the security of the work environment thanks to the use of palmtops that require workers to take vision of the security regulations and confirm before carrying out their specific task.

Innovative solutions for an integrated management of healthcare procedures

Problem

A hospital in Turin, part of the state run health care system, had the need to furnish the State with electronic based information regarding its activities. The growing public budget cuts have brought the hospital to search for new solutions concerning the analysis and optimization of the inner procedures in order to improve the management of the clinic and its administration while reducing useless costs.

Solution

In collaboration with the healthcare office and general management, AN analyzed the managerial processes of the clinic and hospitalization, both ordinary as well as during day hospital, following the patient from the first check-in time in the hospital to check-out time as the patient is sent home.Such procedures have been optimized and computerized with 2Care, a type of modular and integrated management software that offers solutions for the internal management, the administration and clinical needs as well as for the patients.

Achieved results

2Care became the mainframe of all the company’s information system. From reservations to check in’s, medical records, therapy sheets, discharge forms and overall reports. The hospital can use a tool that improves efficiency, ets them know their operational costs and optimizes the available resources. It also supports decision making processes, by using state of the art technology while integrating with third party systems, both private and public.

Intelligent management
of legal communications

Problem

An important municipalized company sfelt the need to assign certain certified electronic mails (PEC) to different managers and departments. Eeing these e-mails treated equally as certified mail, and therefore with legal validity, there was a need to store, register and redistribute them in an efficient manner, with no errors and possibly without using paper.

Solution

SAN designed S-PEC, a type of software capable of receiving and sending PEC’s, independently from the type of server and for a large number of users. S-PEC centralizes the management of the certified electronic messages, and can protocol them automatically. It can integrate with eventual other documental systems already in use and send notifications to the recipients. S-PEC dis made up by a sophisticated security mechanism that memorizes the messages of multiple users while guaranteeing the reserved access to the contents. It also offers a proxy mechanism for the access of the answering machines, and it traces every activity on every message including the prints and the simple visualizations.

Achieved results

Savings on the task of a worker protocolling the PECs, a tool that (in Italy) is more and more frequently being used instead of the usual certified paper mails. We achieved the complete automation of a process, that now requires no the intervention of human personnel.
